Is the app free?
No. The app costs $0.99 per month, and you can cancel anytime through your app store.
Which devices are supported?
The app is built for U.S. users and supports iOS and Android devices. A web version may be added in the future.
Where is my data stored?
Your app data (inventory, recipes, meal plans, grocery lists) is stored in a secure cloud database. Uploaded images are stored through Uploadcare. I cannot confirm device-specific storage policies beyond these services.
How do I report an issue?

Why do you ask for camera access?How do I report an issue?
Only if you choose to add photos to inventory items or recipes. It’s optional.
Do you support barcode scanning?
Yes, the app can scan UPC codes to speed up inventory entry.
Can I import recipes?
Yes. You can add your own recipes, upload images, or import from a URL when supported by the site.
What payment methods do you accept?
Payments go through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We don’t process payment info ourselves.
Can I export my data?
Exports are planned for a future update.
Will you ever add AI-generated meal suggestions?
Yes, this is under consideration for a future release.
Can I meal plan for different households?
Right now, each account supports one household. Multi-household support may be added later.
Do you collect personal information?
Only the essentials to create an account:

Do you sell user data?
No. Your data is used only to operate the app.
Can I delete my account and data?
Yes. You can request full deletion by emailing support@smartweeklymenuplanning.com.
How often does the app update my grocery list?
Your grocery list automatically updates whenever you build or change your weekly meal plan.
Does the app remind me about expiring food?
Yes, items with expiration dates can trigger reminders if you enable them in settings.
What if a barcode doesn’t scan?
You can manually enter the item name, category, and quantity. Unsupported barcodes won’t prevent you from adding items.
Do I need internet to use the app?
Most features require an internet connection because your data syncs with the cloud.
